This lot is a 2011/12 crop, is Certified Organic by Ceres, GmbH, an USDA agent, and was vacuum-packed at origin. Aurelio was born June 16 1971. He is married to Eugenia Condori Mamani, they have five children, Ximena (17), Eddy (14), Limbert (12), Willmer (8) & Nely (3). He moved to the Kantutani community from Milluni, (in the Altiplano Region, the high plateau near lake Titicaca) in 1993 and since then has been cultivating coffee. He was a Cup of Excellence® (COE) finalist in 2008 (7th place) and 2009 (11 th place), the last year there was a COE competiton in Bolivia. Aurelio's farm is located at 5,000 feet above sea level (ideal conditions for growing high-quality Arabica coffee varietals) in the Entre Rios County of the Caranavi Povince of the La Paz Department in the new Plurinational State of Bolivia. We have known Aurelio for several years and this year we purchased all of his coffee production. Aurelio's farm has 12 hectareas (about 28 acres), of which 2.5 hectares are dedicted to coffee. His Arabica coffee varietals production is broken down as Tipica 50% and Catuai (red & yellow) 50%. Our Head Cupper scored this micro-lot with a score of 87. Cupping Comments are as follows: Aroma/flavor: Nice, frutal, kiwi, sweet mango, jazmin, caramel. Acidity: Lively, clean & intense, brilliant, lemon, intense.Other atributes: Rounded, complete, medium body, well balanced.
